Prince George economy expect to pickup further new study suggests

The Conference Board of Canada findings:


Key findings • After growing by a modest 1.3 per cent in 2018, Prince George’s economy is expected to pick up the pace and expand by 1.5 per cent this year and 1.7 per cent in 2020. • Job growth will slow from 1.2 per cent last year to 0.5 per cent in 2019 before edging up to 0.9 per cent next year. • The region’s unemployment rate is anticipated to edge down from an average of 5.2 per cent last year to 4.9 per cent this year and 5.1 per cent in 2020.
