April 2019 Highlights 
  • Employment in the Cariboo region increased by 2,400 jobs. 
  • Employment in Wholesale and Retail Trade increased by 1000 jobs.
  • Employment in Forestry, Oil and Gas increased by 700 jobs.
  • The average house sale was up 1.8% from 2018.
  • $17.4M in residential permits were taken out in April.
  • Year-to-date permits are up 12% compared to 2018.

February 2019 Highlights
  • The Prince George unemployment rate is 0.6% lower than February 2018.
