It’s incredible what’s happened in Prince George’s restaurant industry in the last few years.
It’s a tough, competitive business and every customer that walks through the door expects top-notch service and quality. When they don’t get it, they take to social media to tell their friends and the world to avoid that place.
Yet Prince George is obviously hungry for lots of different eating experiences. Just look at the variety of places available. It’s a smorgasbord of options, from family diners, locally owned and operated restaurants and some popular franchises.
If the restaurant business is growing in any city, it’s a sign of a strong local economy and confidence from investors and entrepreneurs that the economy is going to stay strong for the foreseeable future.

Ottawa, ON, July 16, 2018 – Statistics released today by The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) show national home sales were up from May to June 2018.
Highlights:
National home sales via Canadian MLS® Systems rose 4.1% in June 2018 compared to May. While this marks the first substantive month-over-month increase this year, sales remain well down from monthly levels recorded over the past five years. (Chart A)
More than 60% of all local housing markets reported increased sales activity in June compared to May, led by the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). By contrast, sales in British Columbia continue to moderate.

Northern Lights Estate Winery took gold, silver and bronze as B.C. dominated the fruit wine sector of the All Canadian Wine Championships.
From the 46 medals offered in the fruit wine category, 23 were awarded to British Columbia wineries with Ontario coming in second with 10 medals.
